Monday Sessions 1 & 2

Surprise the World!

Michael Frost is an internationally recognised Australian missiologist and one of the leading voices in the missional church movement. His books are required reading in colleges and seminaries around the world and he is much sought after as an international conference speaker.
Since 1999, Dr Frost has been the founding director of the Tinsley Institute, a mission study centre located at Morling College in Sydney, Australia. 
He is the author or editor of nineteen theological books, the best known of which are the popular and award-winning, The Shaping of Things to Come (2003), Exiles (2006), The Road to Missional (2011) and Surprise the World! (2016).
He was one of the founders of the Forge Mission Training Network and the founder of the missional Christian community, smallboatbigsea, based in Manly in Sydney’s north.

Melinda is the National Director of Alpha Australia and previously served as the Senior Pastor of the Imagine network of churches for 15 years. Under Melinda's leadership Alpha Australia has been working towards the goal of serving all 13,000 churches in Australia and seeing 1,000,000 Alpha stories, as Australians are given the opportunity to explore Life, Faith & God. Her passion is helping to grow the local church and seeing it thrive, along with encouraging Christians to share their faith and raise up disciples.

Andy is a leader whose heart is to see leaders of all generation, equipped, trained and launched as disciple-making movement leaders, into all networks and communities. He has dedicated his time investing in youth and young adults as well as the development of leaders.

He is married to Rachel and together they have three daughters. Andy is a sports lover, coffee drinker and music dabbler.

Generations and Emerging Leaders Pastor


Tuesday Session 1

Kimberly Smith is a Pastor, Author and Speaker. She is also a lover of travel, eating out and all things people! In her role as Generations and Emerging Leaders Pastor for the Baptist churches of Victoria (BUV), she draws from over 14 years experience as a Generations Pastor in a local Baptist church, seeking to help churches engage generationally in mission and leadership development to see them thrive as true expressions of God's family. Kimberly is a passionate communicator, investing in people and ministries through preaching, blogging, mentoring and leadership development. She is the author of the book “What We Cannot Be Alone” - seeking to bring understanding to Singleness as it pertains to church family.

Equipping Evangelists

Conrad and his wife, Wendy, live in Canterbury and have three children, Natasha, Harmoni, and William. Conrad is a gifted and passionate leader and evangelist. He holds a Doctor of Ministry and is a former Reverend within the Anglican Church. He has authored 'Understanding Evangelists: A guide for locating and encouraging new evangelists' and teaches in the Multnomah University, Portland, Oregon in the Doctorate program in Global Evangelism. Conrad has a heart for mission which has been a key component of his previous work, whether with the Anglican Church of Australia, as National Director/CEO of Youth for Christ Australia, and as Pacific Regional Director for Youth for Christ throughout Asia Pacific, or training leadership coaches for international mission organisations and his 20 years experience coaching evangelists around the world.
